Get Your Pink Back was born from a desire to do something bigger than ourselves - something rooted in purpose, love, and community. As the Chair and Co-Chair of the Brampton Latinos Association, Karen and Diana came together with a shared vision: to create a space that brings people together, celebrates motherhood in all its forms, and gives back to those who need it most.
This event is held in loving memory of their mother, Veronica Aguilar, who passed away in 2017. Veronica was more than just a mother - she was a fierce advocate, a nurturer, and a guiding light in her community. She fed bellies and hearts alike, and her passion was always directed toward women and children, especially during their most difficult times.
When the conversation came up about collaborating with Kicks for Kids TO, and the idea of hosting a Mother’s Day event was suggested, we knew - instantly - that this was in full alignment. The mission, the timing, and the intention all pointed to “yes.”
Get Your Pink Back carries Veronica’s legacy forward. It’s a day to celebrate, heal, connect, and give back. Proceeds from the event will support Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke and Julliette’s Place Shelter from Scarborough, two incredible organizations doing the frontline work Veronica deeply believed in.
This isn’t just a gathering - it’s a tribute, a community hug, and a reminder that healing and joy are possible when we come together with love.
This Mother’s Day weekend, we invite you to reconnect, recharge, and celebrate through a beautifully curated experience featuring a luncheon, inspiring keynote speakers, a heartfelt special surprise musical performance, and an immersive paint session with a live DJ, paired with a handcrafted cocktail.
Women’s Habitat has been a safe haven and support system for women and children escaping violence since 1978. Through their emergency shelter and outreach centre, they provide crisis support, housing assistance, counselling, legal advocacy, and programs that help survivors rebuild with dignity. Rooted in empowerment, Women’s Habitat continues to be a vital resource for families seeking safety, healing, and hope.
Julliette’s Place is a Scarborough-based shelter committed to supporting women and children experiencing intimate partner violence. With a focus on safety, independence, and holistic care, they provide shelter, counseling, transitional support, and resources to help families reclaim their lives. Julliette’s Place is more than a shelter - it’s a stepping stone to strength and a future free from violence.
